Osteopathlcally viewed, la grippe presents this condition: Inflamma tion in the posterior layer or deep spinal muscles, which in. severe cases leads to the formation- of slight ad-v healone and cicatricial or scar tissue, which In turn necessarily put pres sure upon the nerves passing out of the spinal' cord in and through the affected area, thus causing dearth of nervous energy, weakness and dis ease in the organs controlled' by 3uch nerves. And no amount of treatment administered upon: symp tomatic effects merely, in such cases, can be productive of permanent re- suits.
