A Queer Wooden Flower.
A queer wooden flower is to be found
In Guatemala. This flower is called
the rose of bell from the fact that it
grows on tbe Hides of Mount Again and
round tbe xeured edges of the volcano
of Fuego. It biw four distinct petals,
the outsldes of which are covered
with bark like that of a tree. Tbe
stem, usually about n foot bljjb. is of
solid wood covered with bark. The
flower tneaxureM nearly a foot across.
