Regular train sjrvice was inaugu rated betwe3n Enterprise and La Grande, Saturday, A train of two coaches, baggage and mail car ar rived from La Grande Friday night, and left on schedule time, 8:30 o'clock, this morning. The train was in charge of Conductor Jake Gulling, and was pulled by engine No. 103. The Inbound train Is due to arrive at Enterprise at 2:30 p. m. The ser vice will probably be extended to Jo seph in a wesk or tan days. A larg iieph in a week or 10 days. A large force of men are ballasting the track above this city. The maiis will con tinue to come by a.aga from Wal lowa for the present, but the railroad will take o-e.' the contract a little later. W. J. Dedman of Portland is act lag as operator until the arrival of A. G. Norman, the station agent who is expected in a few days.
