CollejiH Conservatory of Music. Mr.
Craig' ja fonvineed the W-nlla Walla
ieople mean busitieHo. In un inter
ie.w with the Nea Record lie xuid:
"I was mneh surprised at the things
Iieirg done by Wullu Walla vapitahVt
in the mutter of the electric line we
have been frequently iinrins about.
It can be said with certainty that they
have thoroughly imet tigated and sur
veyed a route from Walla ' alia to the
(irund Ronde river at or near the
mouth of the Litle Salmon. People
of WhIIu Walla are very nnxioiiH for
the road to be continued on to Enter-:
prise and I found that they stand
ready to assist in a substantial manner
in the continuation of the line from
the Oruud Ronde river to this city.
They already know about the popula
tion of the north end of the county,
and the fertility of the soil in all parts
of the county, and have evidently
figured out that besides tapping a big
timber belt they can no doubt do a
good business in freight and passenger
traffic between the north tnd of the
county and Enterprise. If the people
of Enterprise will show one-half as
much enthusiasm in the matter as is
shown in Walla Walla we caD expect
something to be doing. Much of my
information I received on my trip is
confidential and I am not at liberty to
make it public at this time. I will e&y
this much however, that now is the
time for ub to get busy." ,

Enterprise Boys Have Off Day la The
Field Good Work by
. Pitchers.
For five innings the big crowd at the
Enterprise ball gi minds Sunday after
noon saw as pretty playint; as you
would see in a bis league. Bilyeu and
Haves were masters and both woie
pitching lino bull with Bilyeu having
a shade the best of it up to the eixtlK
inuing.
Tlien came the razzle diw.lea. The
entire home team except the battery,
got a bad case of complicated bone
head and butler fingers. Everyone
when he got the bull started a game of
solitaire, and w hen he finally flung it,
fired it just whero he. shouldn't. The
details are unnecessary, as the Wallowa
boys continued to put up a stiff game,
and were not slow of taking advantage
of the .errors of commssion and
Omission by Enterprise. The score:
Enterprise.
