Tom Ellidge had the misfortune to
turn over with two wagons loaded w ith
steel ranges in the canyon below the
Southwiuk place, causing considerable
damage to his wagons, the run-on ami
the wire fence, which tie was obliged to
cut in several places. This is really a
dangerous piece of road as is also the
uradu below the Wm. Minor place on
the road to Wallowa. The supervisors
in each district were warned before the'
ground froze lust fall, as was also the
County Judge that this road would bo
dangerous in the winter, and it does
seem witli the amount of taxes we wore
obliged to pay last year that some work
should have been done ou it.
