If vou notice the smile on Rev. Mr
Templeton's countenance well we'll
tell you what causes it. He proved up
Thursday on a very good timber claim

So often, like school teaching, a man
takes up a newspaper business as a
means to an end, not as a definite aim
on which to concentrate his powers.
The highest duty of each man is to liavo
a definite aim and makn a success of it.
A life's work Is a great whole made up
of many parts. This great whole can
not be planned and exeouted in a
moment. The child has no clearly
developed idea what he will be when a
man. As one little boy expressed it,
"I'm going to be a preacher or a cowboy )
but I don't know which yet." And tho
same with the older ones.
