The pioneers of Southern Oregon,
when they meet In the historic old
town of Jacksonville this fall for their
annual reunion, will discuss plans for
the erection of a leg cabin to contain
the relics of early pioneer days. Tho
log cabin' will be typical of early life
in Oregon, with spinning wheel, rawhide-bottomed
chairs and coonskin

Notice has been sent to all the rail
road corporations in Oregon asma
from the lines that make up the Har-
rlman system, to the effect that all
figures, estimates and other evidence
for determining the physical valuation
of the roads in this state must be In
the hands of the commission by Sep
tember 15. The valuations of the Har
rlman lines, that is, the Southern Pa
cific, Oregon Railway & Navigation
Company and branch lines, has been
completed. Only the smaller roads
have not yet been completed and they
had been given all summer to prepare
their estimates.
