UNDERGOES. OPERATION
Martin Larsen returned to Enter
prise Tuesday afternoon from Hot
Lake where some days ago he and
Airs. Larsen went for the latter's
health. It was found that Mrs. Lar
sen 's condition demanded an Imme
diate operation, and this was per
formed at the Hot Lake Sanitorium
Thursday, July 14. Word both from
Mr. Larsen and Mi3s Grace Wood,
Mrs. Larsen's daughter, is to the ef
fect that Mrs. Larsen is recovering
nicely, though at present too weak
to make the journey home.

congregate annually at the Lake for
a brief outing and meeting. The
second annual meeting occurred July
15, when the following program was
observed : Luncheon at the falls
12:30 o'clock; baseball game (ladies
vs. gentlemen) 4:00; banquet at the
Amusement Company restaurant at
1:30; business meeting 8:30.

proceeded to view, survey and
lay out said road as prayed for in

The said road was surveyed' under
our directions, and the same was
conspicuously marked throughout,
the corners and distances thereon
noted, and all treee on the Mnej of
said road were marked on each
of tbe sides thereof corresponding
with the direction of said road,
with three notches cut through the
bark and one inch Uito tbe wood,
and all trees, adjacent to the said
line of said road were plainly blaz
ed on the side facing said road.
The beginning and termination of
said road and the termination of
each time and intermediate points
have been marked in the manner
provided by law, as will more fully
appear by the certified) return of
the survey of said road, which 1
hereunto attached and made a part
of this report.
That In our opinion the said pro
posed road should be established
for the following reasons;
It Is needed by the traveling pub
lic and by settler living adjacent
to the proposed road, being for
them the most practical and much
the shorbest distance to the rail
road and to a postofflce.
No damages allowed.
We consider that the lands of tbe
George Palmer Lumber company,
through which the proposed road
passes, will be rendered no lo
valuable by reason of tbe establish
ment of the road.
