ing has been steadily under way

E. II. East and wife and two
sons of Alice, Texas, are visiting

after a separation of a good
many years.
Mrs. E. Graves returned Tues
day from a two weeks visit at
Baker City.
Ah Gillette started for the
new railroad at Bend, Wednes
day morning.
Station Agent V. V. Hunter of
Echo transacted business in
Pendleton Tuesday.
Elton Spike returned Tuesday
from a visit to Pendleton.
The Alfalfa Mill started up
again Tuesday and is running on
full time, using steam for power
pending the settlement of the
water suit.

have finished threshing on their

yield was 2100 sacks of No. 1
wheat.

about a year. He has a home
stead here, but on account of
failing health he was compelled
to get a leave of abhence and go
to a cooler climate. Mr. McFall
is a brother of Mrs. E. Ripper.
