I. I.. Moody's Kullli.
Probably a few citizens of Ash
laud were privileged to hear the
great evangelist D.L. Moody. Those
who heard him will never forget
the man nor his message. He was
used of God as no other evangel
ist has ever been to turn thous
ands from sin to salvation through
Christ. His work was even more
effective in Great Britain than In
America.
.Mr. Moody, liko every great
toul-winnor of this, or past gene
rations, believed tho Bible from
cover to cover. lk had no fads
of doctrine, but was believed in
by every minister and Christian
who stood for the Truth of God.
The Moody Bible Institute ot
Chicago was founded by D. L.
Moody many years ago. During
all these years it has remained
absolutely true to the same doc
trines and truths that Mr. Moody
preached. It has sent out tens
of thousands of well taught young
people to preach the whole truth
of Cod to the ends of the earth.
If Mr. Moody wer alive and
could stop one day In Ashland the
great auditorium wculd not hold
the people that would throng to
bear him. The Eihle Institute
now in progress in. this city is un
der the management ot the Chi
cago Institute and the men who
are conducting this work are not
only known and honored far and
wide for their knowledge of God's
Rook, but they are chosen and
vent here by that great Institute
liecause they believe and teach
exactly the same truths Mr. Moody
taught. There should be no mis
take here. In these days of fad
and cults it is easy to suppose that
this Institute huldi and teaches
some errors. On the contrary,
the old faith of our fathers is be
lug taught. It is the truth that
every soul-winner and faithful
mitalonary believes and teaches
today.
This closJug week ot the Insti
tute should have the personul sup
port of every person In this city
who claims to believe in the Bible.
