The members of the C. L. S. C. at
tended an uuique entertainment,
Wednesday evening, given in honor
of their president, Mrs. John Miller,
who is leaving Ashland In about two
weeks to make her homo in Cali
fornia. Mrs. Miller Is the fourth
member of this club to leuve Ashland
this winter, and her departure will
be deeply regretted by her many
friends. The other absent members
are Mrs. Rocho, who is living In
Southern California; Mrs. Cucius
Miller, wjio is iu Sacramento, und
Mrs. Chuflei Robertson, who left
Ashland about a mouth ago to find
a location In the same state, que

a quiet home affair with only mem

beneath a bower of greenery. The,
bride wore a gown of white beaded
georgette crepe over white brocaded
satin and carried a bouquet of sweet-
peas and fresias. Following the cer
emony a dainty supper was served,

ers and with scores of little cuplds
and hearts dancing from ribbons

The bride Is. a most attractive and
popular young Iudy who attended the
Polytechnic college here and has
been In Portland for the past two
