were found hidden beneath the
hood of an Overland car which
was confiscated.

of Miss Spires’ father, three miles
south of Medford on the Pacific
highway.
Here they found a
wholesale liquor plant, according
to Officer Talent. The equipment
included an electric machine for
“aging” the “bonded” liquor, five
five-gallon cans filled with grain
alcohol, five gallons of synthetic
rum, 30 eases of synthetic gin,'
hundreds of corks, a bottling ma­
chine, hundreds of bottle caps,
many empty bottles and a large
assortment of “bottled in bond"
foreign labels. Much of t h e
bonded stuff sold In the county

factored at the Spires farm house,
according to Talent.
