and Van Zetti were today denied writs of habeas corpus

before the federal courts with tl request that they inter­

would he asked for a writ of certiorari, which would

Neither prisoner took any food Sunday, it being th©
22nd day of Sacco’s hunger strike. Van Zetti has now
joined bim again in refusing food and both insist to
their counsel that they will not eat again until they are
granted a new trial.
