at the shop again on the follow­
ing day and traded another gold

was mildly surprised.
On the third "day Charles again
showed qp with a new gold
watch. He wanted»more vodka.
The proprietor was astounded.
Two more days polked and on
each occasion Oharles put in an
appearance with a watch. The
proprietor was first alarmed and
