Past Noble Grand's club of Hope
Rebekah Lodge No. 14, I. O. O.
F., was held Friday afternoon,
July 22, at 2:30 o’clock in the
Llthla Park picnic grounds. There
was a splendid attendance of
members and several visitors
were present, making the meeting
a most enjoyable one.
During the usual business ses­
sion it was decided to postpone
the meeting which was to have
been held in August yid the mem-
bors accepted the Invitation of
Leah M. Caldwell to hold the Sep­
tember meeting at her home on
Laurel street.
At 6 o’clock, a bountiful and
delicious covered-dish dinner was

vantages which come 'in later
years. This idea of parents de­
priving themselves of luxuries In
order to provide them for growing
children is unfair both to parents
and children.

Spent Day at Hyatt D a m -
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Aylsworth
and daughter Virginia and Mr.
and Mrs. John Barr and son John
Jr. of this city, left Ashland Sun­
day morning at 3 o’clock and mo­
tored up to Hyatt’s dam where
they watched the sunrise and
enjoyed breakfast cooked over a
camp fire.
Later in the morning Mr. and
Mra. Jack Beagle and son Billy
Joined them and they all spent
the day at the dam. The men
built a large raft, which would
hold approximately fifteen people,
and several hours were spent
swimming and diving off the raft.
At 6:30 o'clock In the evening, a
picnic supper was served, after
which the party drove home in
the storm.
