July 20. — (IP) — Guards who- carried ( stqamlng plates of prison fare to the cells Of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vansettl In Charlestown state prison Tuesday were silently wav ed away by the condemned men, now in the third day of a hunger strike. Since Sunday morning neither prisoner has been willing io touch the food placed before him. It is reported Vansettl has sipped his coffee, but no one has actually seen him do so. As there is running water in their cells prison officials believe they are drinking water, but this, too, is a matter of conjecture. - Warden Hendry, was asked by the United Press how long he would permit the two Interna tionally known prisoners to go without food before he resorts to forcible feeding. It is too early to talk about that. It will depend on what the prison doctor says," he replied.
