safety and then shot the wild
animal.
The dairyman was watering
stock when the ball suddenly be­
came mad and plunged threngh a
heavy corral fence. M artin tried
to fight the animal o ff w ith a
pitchfork, while several men look­
ed oa. The fork handle broke,
leaving the man i ’defenseless.
When M artin toll beneath tha
feet of the beast, his son dashed
into the corral and dodging the
onslaughts of the Infuriated ball,
dragged the limp form of bis fa­
ther to safety.
The youngster then took a rifle
and dispatched the animal with a
single shot.
