taxation in opposition to the
policy of laying o ff in California
and Washington, those who feel
that It is merely another experi­
ence of "giving the state officials
more money to spend," and other
factions who oppose the income
tax, it appears It w ill have hard
sledding in tomorrow’s election.
W hile the income tax is said
by those favoring It to be for
the purpose eventually to relieve
the burden on property tax, many
reel that that the property tax
w ill never be m aterially reduced,
