David E. Lofgren, Portland attor­
ney, director of Lumbermen Trust
Co.
The sale was announced by A.
M. Cannon, referee In bankruptcy.
It was reported that the purchase
price was 2226,000.
The Portland News, which had
submitted a bid of 2200,000 for
the paper wheff public bids were
i ailed for, submitted a privato of­
fer ot 2178,000 and was the only
other bidder.
