Did Wagner leave any family Concerning Billboards Some people spend a lot of good time worrying about the bill boards along the highways which are supposed to shut out the scenery.’ A# a matter of fact mniiy of the bill boards are attractive in e themselves and furnish information which is really useful to the tourist. Those which are unsightly probably defeat their purpope in that they arouse disgust where they are supposed to arouse interest or admiration in those who read them. But before the scenery’ of the thousands of miles of mountains and planes .along the Pacific highway and the other highways of the country is shut out by billboards a lot more of them will have to be built than are now in use. Others who would not go so far as to prohibit the bill boards would like to censor them. Sometimes it is the ' tobaccoVmanufacturer that is made the target and sometimes it is tjie vaudeville show. So long as the manufacture and sale of tobacco ; is permitted it is difficult to see why advertising of these products should be prohibited. Bill boards, of course should be subject to the sume rules as litera ture or any other posters or pictures where public morals are concerned. Probably the heat censor ship is that the -improper ’ and unattractive bill boards will offend the people they Are to attract aad thus eliminate themselves. foi oU wall la .to bo «.
