The fam ily came to Ashland
last summer in order to give their
four children the splendid advant­
ages of the local schools, and lo­
cated at 565 Fairview street.

feet that we made the real strike.

mother of W. II. Perkins of' this
city, died last night at The Dalles,
following an illness of about three

to rest by the side of her husband
W illiam T. Perkins, who, died
last June.
Mrs. Perkins was 62 years old
and was born at San Jose. Cal.
She graduated from the Univers­
ity of California and then came to
Oregon where she taught In the
old Drain Normal prior to her
marriage. She was the daughter
of Dr. H. C. Benson, pioneer Meth­
odist minister, and a sister of -the
late Frank W. Benson, former
governor of Oregon.
Besides her son In this city,
Mrs. Perkins is survived by two
daughters and another son. They
are Mrs. Don W. Yantis of The
Dalles, Mrs. Forrest Peetz of
Moro, Ore., and Phil B. Perkins
of Portland.
