K AV. C. A. Worker Writes of Conditions in China W ith newa dispatches being re­ ceived daily, telling of the strug­ gle xolng on in China for su­ premacy, a letter received recently by W. P. W alter, local Y. M. C. A. Secretary, from J. C. Clark. Y. M. C. A. worker at Shanghai, tell­ ing of some ot the conditions that, exist there la of unusual Inter­ est. Mr. Clark is well known to many Ashland people and his let­ ter is as follows: • Mtadeata Radical . The students are the moot rad­ ical la their demands. The Southern army under the com­ mand of Chiang K ai 8hek has made a moat wonderful advapee north from Canton and now con­ trols most of the territory ex­ cepting Shanghai and vicinity south of the Yangtxe River.
