, N EW YORK, Jan. 8.— (United
Press)— Newly planted trees sav-

$1,000,000 in doctor bills, ac
cording to reports received here
by the Zionist Organfkation.
These reports indicate an en
ormous drop in m alaria in the
sections of Palestine - where a f

know, against a ll of these good

some minor objections largely
concerning the chiefs personal
bearing toward alleged offenders
which feature we believe is soften

experience.
M r.. McNabb also stands high
w ith retiring mayor and council.,.
Bellevelng as we do that Chief
McNabb’s general record ’ easily
outweighs the few objections
against him, and that men of his
.personal character and ability
who tru ly love such trying dan

scarce, we can only see one logic
al thing to do for the general
good, vis. to reappoint M r. Mc

Regarding the appointment > of
Mr. Malone there has been con
siderable opposition, largely be
cause he bore most of the brunt
of the failure of the city manag
er plan during the first half of
1926, which failure we believe oc
curred from lack of preparation,
especially from lack of city chart
er retlslon, and the responsibility
for which as maintained for six
months was more or less divided.
No real harm was done by the ex
periment and not likely to bo re
peated In the light of past exper
ience!
In M r. Malode’s favor it must
be admitted that since he was re
lieved of his former great author
