Ashland led, 3 to 4, at the end of
the first half, but Corvallis came
back strong in the final period

This was the firs t game o f the
season for the local squad, and it
had not had sufficient practice to
take on such a strong team as the
Corvallis boys.
In the preliminary game, the
normal school second team de­
feated Central Point high school,
33 to IP* in a hotly contested
»«. -The normals were leading
by a wide margin in the first
half but Central Point*came from
behind speedily la the fin al half
but could not quite overtake the
normal rooks.
