LEST WE FORGET
W ith the crack of the last shell on that memor
able November 11th, eight years ago, there ended
tbe moot terrible struggle ever waged between na
tions.
The bnge toll taken in lives and suffering can*
not be measured by any earthly standards, and it is
indeed appropriate that Arm istice Day has been set
aside each year to remind us of this tremendous
sacrifice.
To those who have paid in full; to those who
have bled; to those who have suffered in body and
in heart, we bow oor beads ia reverent devotion,
and m at the future show by our lives as individuals
and our conduct as a nation that this colossal sacri
fice has not been iu vain, and we pray' that it can
never happen again
