The committee also discussed
the conducting of a series of
men's Sunday afternoon meet­
ings to he held during the win­
ter months, and at such times as
outstanding speakers were avail­
able. Immediate steps will be tak­
en by the committee to organise
two or more mens’ Gospel teams

and . smaller communities where
padtors are not available. These
teems w ill work through Rev. D.
school worker, and w ill fill any
requests coming from communi­
ties for services on Bunday after­
noons or evenings, wherever pos­
sible to do so.
O. r. Carson, who has been se­
lected to head the work of raising
feeds for the local Y. IL- C. A.,
announced the appointment of H.
C. Galey and John Riggs as bis
two aides. These two man will
each head a division with three
teams In each division. They w ill
meet w ith M r. Carson, end secre­
tary W elter tonight to select their
teams UP each division.
"Mon snrely are responding to
thia work la fine shape, and we
are goiag to have a successful
campaign." Mr. Carson stated.
The annual Y. M. C. A. fladnce
campaign will be held November
15 to 1», at which time the citi­
zens of Ashland w ill be called on
to show their faith in the men
who are backing this work for
the boys and young men of the
city. Ashland is the smallest
city on the coast to attempt such
a work, and it speaks well for the
spirit of the people in providing
such a work for their boys and
young men.
