When one county can enumerate the number »of wealth producing potentialities that exist here, it should be “ sung from the house tops in every land” in order that others might profit by its Utopian possibilities. A brief trip' through the grounds revealed everything from the fin est of agricultural products, live stock, and mineral wealth to a class of needle work that Would have made our. graudmothers famed for their skill with the needle, turn green with envy. Any land that can reflect such a wealth of the fundamentals of prosperity, as is repre sented at the fair, need have but little fear of the future, It is basically sound, the foundation has been built upon goliff g ffiflffff,' gfifl the future suiwrstructurfe of a great and populous'community can be built, as time and conditions of safety and confidence. That Ashland merchants should recognize the import-j ance of this event by closing their stores for a half day,! is commendably, That the citizens of Ashland should lend ! their support fo this worthy project by attending, prac- j tically in a .body, is sufficient proof of their whole souled interest in, its success. W ith such cooperation, the fair can not help but he successful. It can not help but receive the necessary nourishment for a healthy growth, and that is as it should be.
