I wish also at thia time to thank
the mayor and each member of
the Council, for their confidence
and hearty support during my
time in office. It has indeed been
gratifying.
I feel that I have given the plan
as outlined in the ordinance, ear

I also feel that the progress made

Senator Charles

In Oklahoma, Henry S. John

(U P )— Because some of the pros
pective jurors could not conceive
a man killing his own daughter,
the selection of a Jury In the trial
of .Wallace Gaines, charged with
murdering hla daughter, • Sylvia,
will be delayed for another day.
Several veniremen admitted It
would require more proof to con

his daughter than to convince
them she was killed by a strang

It is believed the Jury will be
finally selected by
tomorrow
night and that the presentation
of evidence by the prosecution
can get under way.
Despite the web of cirenmstan-
