proud of th e ir police and fire bureaus.

A nd the reason fo r th is enviable reco rd is because o f the
day-by-day w ork of its police force. T h ese m en m ay no t
be gettin g th e ir nam es in the head-lines, b u t th e y are
alw ays on du ty , 24 hours out o f ev ery d a y , an d it is
because of th is fa ith fu l service th a t A sh lan d citizens can
sleep w ith th e ir doors unlocked, w ith e v e ry assuranoe th a t
th e ir rest will be undisturbed.
