Wihln twelve years eighty-eight
motor bus companies have devel­
oped a motor bus system in Illi­
nois with 800 busses, covering
more than two thousand miles of
hard road, it is announced by the
Illinois Commerce Commission.
First certificates' for motor
bus companies were issued in
1914, and up to January 1, 1922,
18 certificates had been Jssued.
The number issued up to Janu­
ary 1. 1926, was 192. Six of these
certificates were for freight lines,
the remainder being for passeng­
er busses.
