EFFORT IS MADE TO
ASSASSINATE KLAMATH
COUNTY PROSECUTOR
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., May 11. - (UP) — Two
sticks of dynamite placed on the window sill at the home
of District Attorney E. L, Elliott exploded shortly after
midnight this morning, awakening the entire town. Jack,
lfi-yearxdd son of the d&trict attorney, suffered minor
cuts on the hand. He was sleeping in the room where
the charge was placed. *
Mr. and Mrs. Elliott were sleeping in another part
of the house but had occupied the dynamited room until
a short time ago. .
- Officers think it was the work of some demented man
as Elliott had received no threats although he had been
active against liquor law violators. The room was wreck
ed and it was considered a miracle that no one was ser
iously injured.
