MOSCOW, \ (U P ,— The Moscow
Soviet has placed a premium on
•living, at least for private trad­
ers and: businessmen, by raising
the charge for graves in the mu-
nlcipal cemeteries from ten to
twenty-five dollars.
Class

Moscow.
W orkers and employees belong­
ing to trade unions are only
obliged to pay fifty cents for
their burial places, just as they
are charged relatively low rente
for their rooms.
Professional
people, doctors, lawyers, etc:, pay
$2.60 for their graves; and the
rate for the harassed trader has
now been put up to twenty-five
dollars.
The funeral department of the
Moscow municipality has been
running at a loss, estimated at
a penny to every grave. In or­
der to overcome tbls deficit the
new charge has been imposed
upon the business men.
