The main canal has been denned of all trash and earth, that
has come Into ditch since tlje Water was turned out last (all.
Cleaning of the diteh started at the city limits boundary on the
east*side of Ashland, and to Isaac Bailey’s ou west side.
Some 1100 feet of one and one quarter lneh Mack pipe «as
taken up on Soda Line, east of Ashland. There are soma seven
miles of this’ pipe which has never been seen tor any purpose,
except what haa been taken up and used at ttassn. Borne of thlA
pipe will be used for extensions of the Talent Irrigation water, at
different places along the system.

Two concrete turn out boxen have been completed along_ditoh.
They are seven feet by throe feet, and »beat eighteen Inches (imp.
There will be seven when all ate completed thia year. They "ill
convert the water from the ditch into the pipe line, and the water
will be screened of all trash at the turn out box.

There is at present, considerable leak through the west half of
the concrete wall of the lower reservoir. Plans are now belnt
drawn to conserve this Aster, and in addition to provide for he
proper screening of all this water from this resetrelr, Into the p‘Pp
line by providing Intakes. These plans will be ready for consider»*
tlon within tile next ten days or tWo weeks.
