AUBURN, Wash., April
9— With pretty 19-year-
old Vivian Russel burled,
the f)eud between her
father, Rayont Russell,
and her sweetheart, Clark
Hughes, was ended today.
Because
of parental
objections, police said.
Miss Russell ended her
life when her father at
tempted to end her friend
ship with Hughes. Meet
ing at the bier, the father
attacked Hughes with his
fists and was only stop
ped when the police ,n-
te r fe r e d .
Repenting,
Russell yesterday request
ed Hughes to attend the
funeral of bis daughter.
During the course of the
services 4jye young wom
en were overcome by
their emotions and had
to be carried from the
ehnrch.
Business was halted

for the dead girl were
being held. Members of
the 1925 class of Auburn
high school, of which
Miss Russell was a mem
ber, attended the funeral
in a body.
