Baseball League'
Increasing Interest is
being shown in the pro
posal to have an Ashland
baseball team In the new
Southern Oregon Baseball
league, and it Is under
stood that the sponsors of
the movement will lay the
matter before the numer
ous civic organizations
within the next week or
10 days In order to sound
out public support.
Those looking after the
matter feel that an Ash
land team in a strictly
Southern Oregon league
would find good support
from residents of this
city and also would tend
to create a more friendly
rivalry between the var
ious communities.*
If the proposal to have
Ashland enter this league
does not receive sufficient
backing it has been sug
gested that four or more
organizations of th | city
organize a Twilight base
ball league for the sum
mer months.
At any rate, the ^base
ball fever Is in the air
and probably wHl result
in a baseball lqague or
team of some character
