strike of stonemasons in New
York city has been settled, em­
ployers and representatives of the
union signing-an agreement under
the terms of which - the . masons
w ill receive 914 a day and the
laborers 99 a day for the next
two years. This is an Increase of
82 a day for the masons and |1 a
day for the laborers over the pres­
ent scale.
