Dies at Salem I |
Jacob Stone, a pioneer resident
of Ashland, died yesterday at
Salem from ailments incident to
advanced age, He was 81 yearn
old. The body will be brought
to Jackson county for burial at
Central Point. The funeral prob­
ably will be 'held Friday.
Mr. Stone was a native of Vir­
ginia, where he was born In
1844. With his wife he came to
Ashland in 1875 where he lived
for many years, prior to going
to Salem to reside. He is sur­
vived by the following children:
