Medford Buys Up
Reserved Seats
For Friday Game
Medford basketball enthusiasts
were having a chuckle today at
the expense of Ashland.
When the two high school
basketball teams line up on the
local floor Friday night, Med­
ford fans will occupy most of the
reserved seats.
The seats were placed on sale
Monday morning, and by Tues­
day morning, they had all been
sold. And last night the informa­
tion became known that Medford
had bought up most of the choice
tickets. They got them In blocks
of from 10 to 25, and local fans
who waited until yesterday and
today to get their seats found
them all gone.

Six new double cabins w ill be
completed and ready for auto
tourists In the auto camp adjoin­
ing Lithia Park before June 1.
This improvement was guar­
anteed at a meeting of the city
park board last night when the
proposal of The Llthlana to have
the cabins financed by private
subscriptions was officially adopt­
ed both by the park board 'and
the city council.
Under the plan as agreed upon,
private Individuals will advance
the park board approximately
34000 for the construction of the
cabins.
Those advancing the
money will be given title contracts
to the property and will be re­
paid at the rate of 330 per month
and Interest. The receipts from
the rental of the cabins will be
more than enough to take care
of the payments. It was thought^
Work Starts Soon
Just as soon as the needed fin­
ances are procured, the park
board will advertise for bids for
construction of the cabins. Plans
and specifications already have
been adopted, and It was-thought
that actual construction could get
under way later this month.
The board voted to employ a
playground supervisor for the
-children during the summer
months.
The supervisor will
handle the children during the
regular summer vacation period.

both written and verbal.
And In the end the council
admitted defeat, temporarily at
least. The entice situation was
aptly summed up by Councilman
Taylor when he remarked:
“If the people are satisfied
with trails and cow paths. It la

not force these Improvements up-

Everybody Talks
-Nearly everybody talked, both

but those opposed appeared to
