SEATTLE, Wash., Feb. 11.-
(LP)—Three youths and two men
are in jail here today in connect­
ion with the robbery last Novem­
ber of 610,000 worth, of Jewels
in San Francisco and their sub­
sequent efforts to dispose of the
loot in 8eattle.
Three of the youths, all under
18, are directly charged with the
robbery. The other two are held
in connection with the efforts to
sell the gems. The,youths charg­
ed with the robbery are Edward
Wayman, 17; Willard Davis, 16,
and Ted Reno, 18. Erwin Mar-
tlnbau, 17, is alleged to be an­
other agent of the bandits, and
Max Rotbstein, a salesman, is
held, charged with having pur­
chased some of the loot from Mar-
tineau. .
The three youths are said to
have made a complete confession.
They are held pending advices
from San Francisco authorities.
Detective Frank Little made
the capture. He overheard Frank
Kingston, a contractor, attempt­
ing to sell a . 82000 diamond
brooch for 8100 at a garage.
Questioning him, the detective
learned that he had been com­
missioned to sell it by the youths.

ters, which resulted from the
kidnaping and assaulting of the
two girls.
While civil authorities were
delving into the vice ring, Rear
Admiral A. H. Robertson of the
eleventh naval district ordered
an investigation into the con­
tinued imprisonment of Elmer
K. Jordon, a petty naval of­
ficer, in the Tia Juana jail.
Jordon has been living in a cell
without sunlight for 11 months
