Southern Ore gon and Ashland especially, is becoming pretty well known aa the result of the activities of yourself and your team mates. \ x . The prone bread baking championship seems to have settled in Ashland, for now two years, in succession, Ash land teams have won the title. It won’t be long before Ashland prone broad* will bo as well known as Ashland lithia water, and instead of living in the Granite City, we will be living in the prune bread city. A score of 9i> 1-3 per cent is about as nearly perfect as is possible to get and still be human. It will be a long time before that score is equalled. A lot of credit goes to B. G. Fowler and Miss Ada Brewster, county club leadei* aud^lw&ta unfiuouaUatioil leaders. But a lot of credit, the major portion of the credit goes to you for your hard work. And this is not detract ing one whit from Mr. Fowler or Miss Brewster. I hope you hav^ as much success at Chicago us you have had in this state, and all of Ashlaud Js behind you. Yours truly, Auntie Ashlaud, Mr. W. G. Sander, - - . Proprietor, Ashland Flower Shop, * * -Vahland, Oregon, , Dear Bill: y I understand you are to have a chrysanthymum show in the near future, and that all Ashland people are in vited to look over your splendid exhibit of ’mums. Ashland people have always been lovers of flowers. We are situated here in Southern Oregon, with a climate, conducive to the production of an abundance of beautiful flowers. . We are all interested in Gowers, interested in them to a much greater extent than the people of other cities. This city has long been noted for its beautiful flow ers, and there are several amateur Gower fanciers in the city who produce wonderful blossoms. They do it for the love of the Gowers, and for the beautificatioir of their homes. You have one of the finest collections of ’mums in the state, with your 10,000 blossoms of over 20 different varieties. I wish you a lot of success with your show. And know you will have it, for Ashlaud is always inter ested in such-Ru exhibit.
