day from a three months trip
which took him over a 20,000
mile route around the rim of
the United Staten
“ Dad” left Ashland early In
August for Montreal, Canada.
He stopped over at Quebec, Can­
ada, Springfield, Maae., New
York, Washington, Philadelphia
sad several of the other large
eastern cities, and then started
oa his return trip over the south­
ern route, which
took
him
through New Orleans, across to
Los Angelas, and thence up the
coast, back to Ashland.
While 1n California, he visited
with several of his sons and
daughters, who reside In the
south.
