THE ASHLAND PROPERTY OWNERS,
HENRY ENDERS, JR.
Chairman, Public Relations Committee,
Ashland Kiwanis Club,
Dear Heinie:
Your report of the activities of the public relations
committee at your last club meeting, in which you explain
ed how the club was aiding the poorer children of the city
to obtain medical attention which they otherwise eoulc
not have had, was- I believe- the finest message of voui
entire meeting.
If there is anything finer or more nobje than to help
hose who are unable to help themselves, I have not yet
i m\ lew \ eai s on earth. Without the aid
•f the Kiwanis club, those two little girls might have gout
through life so badly handicapped as to make them public
liabilities instead of the assets they should be. The
thought, the kindliness of your act at this time may have
been responsible for the changing of a poor life into one
>f usefulness.
So fine wa& the message you brought to your club,
Heinie, that I have entirely forgotten the time you
moved the Lithia Springs Hotel a few miles down the
highway to Medford.
You have the co-operation of the physicians and the
dentists of Ashland in your work- and although these men
remain in the background- their aid made possible to an
even greater degree, the good work you have accom
plished.

My dear Professor:
Read recently where you Appeared before the state
legislature, asking for an appropriation with which to
carry on your development work in the state. If there is
any possible way for any legislature to find' the money
for this appropriation I would certainly like to see the
thing go ovei.
We have every natural advantage here that was ever
given any other state. All we need is to get the people
here, to give them a view of our wonders and possibilities-
