Drink Water Freely and
Often, Also Take Salts
if Back Hurts
When your kidneys hurt and
your back feels sore don’t get
scared and proceed to load your
stomach with a lot of drugs that
excite the kidneys and Irritate
the entire urinary tract. Keep
your kidneys clean like you keep
your bowels clean, by flushing
them with a mild, harmless salts
which helps to remove the body’s
urinous waste and stimulates
them to their normal activity.
The function of the kidneys is to
filter the blood. In 24 hours they
strain from It 500 grains of acid
and waste, so we can readily un
derstand the vital importance of
keeping the kidneys active.
D rinkjots of good water —you
can't drink too much; also get
from any pharmacist about four
ounces of Jad Salts;* take a table
spoonful in a glass of water be
fore breakfast each morning for
a few days and your kidneys
may then act fine. This famous
salts is made from the acid of
grapes and lemon juice, combin-
*od with lithia, and has been used
for years to help clean and stimu
late clogged kidneys; also to neu
tralize the acids in the system
co they are no longer a source
of irritation, thus often reliev
ing bladder weaknesses.
Jad Salts is inexpensive; can
not injure; makes a delightful
effervescent lithla-water drink,
which everyone should take now
and then to help keep their kid
neys clean and active. Try this;
also kefep up the water drinking
and no doubt you will wonder
what became of your kidney
trouble and backache.
By all
means have your physician ex
amine your kidneys at least twice
a year.

LIVES IN AMERICA
Relief
The worst pains people suffer
can be relieved at once. Rheu
matic pain, soreness, backache,
cold In chest, etc.
Rub the sore spot with red pep
per. Nothing else supplies such
concentrated, such penetrating
heat. And heat that doesn't hurt.
You feed it instantly. In three
minutes that heat penetrates to
the depths. Circulation starts,
congestion is relieved. The pain
and the soreness depart.
People used to use plasters,
mustard and llnements. But mod
ern science has found a better
way, a quicker, more efficient way,
a way without objections.
Don’t suffer pains which Red
Pepper Rub relieves almost at
once. Don’t let cold In the chest
go neglected. Have this rub at
hand—get It now. The time will
mean much to someone ln your
home.
Red Pepper is saving millions of
painful hours. Let it save them

The Last Supper” Is
Restored Once More
MILAN, Jan. 28—Sixteen years
ago much alarm was felt by lov
ers of art as to the fate of "The
Last Supper” of Leonardo da
Vinci, at Santa Mar<a delle Grazie
it then being feared that the fam
ous msnterplece was going to
perish.
Wind and other causes had
gradually destroyed the cohesion
between the colors and the sur
face of the wall. The colored
crust had crumbled and was in
danger «f falling to pieces.
Many cases of chronic monox
ide poisoning, he said, can be
traced to the automobile traf
fic in large cities.
“The carbon monoxide,” con
tinued Dr. Shumway, “is without
odor, color or taste, and its pres-;
ence is therefore frequently un
suspected. The gas, when oncei
in the human system, stops the
work of oxygen in the body.
“The most common symptoms,
aside from headaches and nausea,
are lose of appetite, anaemia and
a reduction of the number of red-
glood cells, dizziness, general fa
tigue. dryness of the throat, irri
tation, watering of the eyes, and
lack of mental concentration. •
