Do you carry grudges? Cast them aside. Your bur

Do you boast of your grudges as a sign that you

created your grudges and though you may feed them,
they are your masters. You ,may carry vour grudge up

How often we hear the voice in the street in violent

It is not worth while to waste our energies and vit

evil, but merely pity evil men.
If you have been wronged, forget. Why keep the
injury fresh? You suffered enough at the time.X
Do you long for revenge or to “ get even” with some
enemy, actual or imaginary? You magnify his triumph.
You continue his ascendancy. You hypnotize yourself

That a Medford paper charges Ashland with con
ducting an intensive campaign in registering out-of-state
motorists in an effort to maintain the lead over that city
is a trivial affair and not worth comment were it not so
far from the truth. The fact of the matter is Ashland
has never approached Medford in the matter of a cam
paign to register out-of-state motorists. This is sub
stantiated in many ways, not the least of which is the
fact that the local registration office was not opened on
Sundays until about three weeks ago. The local office
was also closed July 4th and other holidays. Nor have
any ilambuoyant road signs been erected near the state
line calling attention to the registration office located
here. Compared with Medford, Ashland’s efforts to issue
non-resident permits to motorists has been insignificant. H ^ ^ ^ k i ^ h ^ □

Scarcity of insects, owing to the ap
proach of winter, and not cold weather,
causes birds to start south when the
frosts arrive, according to a western
scientist. Seed or flesh-eating fowl,
unaffected by the lack of bugs, sur
vive all year as far north as the Arctic
Circle. While migrations are largely
determined by the food supply, it is
believed that habits inherited from the
glacial ages partly influence some
species. The tern makes a continuous
11,000-mile flight between the polar
regions of the north and south, while
the golden plover, which spends its
summers in the Arctic and its winters
in South America, goes first to Nova
Scotia as it starts southward, then flies
2,400 miles to Brazil.

Finishing Radio Panels
Panels on radio cabinets usually
iiave a highly polished surface but it
is sometimes desirable to have a dull
satin finish instead. Such a surface
may be cbtair.ed by sanding the panel
down with a piece of No. OCCO sand
paper, attached to a blcck padded
with a piece of felt or similar material.
The block should be about 3 or 4 in.
long and the felt about % in. thick.
The panel should be rubbed in one
direction only. After the glossy sur
face is removed the panel should be
wiped with an oily rag, and it will then
have a beautiful satin finish.
