and touching Ashland, Medford and Klamath Falls. The
completion of the loop is of advantage to all three of
the towns not only, hut to the tourist as well, for it af-
toids a .greater variety ot scenery and better diversion
than were he compelled to hack-track.
The representative citizens of Ashland are advising
all tourists to make the loop trip. The Chamber of Com-
.meite, sei\ice station employes, auto camp superintend
ent are emphasizing the advantage of the loop trip. The
selfish individual only will attempt to hog the benefits
of tourist travel.
Only recently complaint has been made locally that
the owners of the service station at Kingshurv Springs,
junction of the Pacific highway and Ashland-Klamath
halls highway aie routing tourists directs to Crater
Lake without permitting them to drive into Ashland.
Even if true there is no occasion for alarm, for the num
ber so directed is comparatively few compared with the
total.

For years this Company has claimed
Jiat Zerolene, because it lubricates
better, enables the average car to go
about five per cent farther on a gal
lon of gasoline than when other oils
are used.
A few weeks ago this claim received
the most remarkable confirmation in
the results of the annual Los Angeles-
Camp Curry (Yosemite) Economy
Run. Six o u t o f th e seven trophies
offered, in clu d in g th e sw eep-
sta kes, were won by Zerolene-
lu b ric a ted cars. The sweepstakes
winner, an Overland Model 92, driven
by Joe Bozzani, traveling the 400
miles of desert and mountain roads,
averaged 29.36 miles to the gallon of
Red Crown gasoline—an achievement
which the 1924 contest rules made all
the more remarkable as they forbade
coasting or stopping the engine.
Right here, in the official records of
this economy run classic, is y o u r
answer to the oil question. Why pay
tribute to the superstition th at east
ern oil, merely because it costs more
and is made in the East, is in some
mysterious way “better?” Experi
enced drivers, out to make records,
don’t share that superstition—why
should you?
