RECEPTION IS California
Improve Highway
GREAT SUCCESS
The most discussed highway in
Superior California today is that por
tion of the Pacific Highway between
Redding and the Oregon State line.
This is true, chiefly for two reasons,
the unpaved condition of a large
part of the unit and the increasing
ly heavy travel, which is using the
great “Main Street of the Pacific.”
Not only arfl the citizens of the
communities along this route anx
ious for its completion, but all Su
perior California and the state at
large and the states of Oregon and
Washington are asking what plans
California has for the completion of
the State Highway from Redding
north.
With this thought in mind, the
writer had a chat several days ago
with State Highway Engineer, R. M.
Morton concerning this project and
plans in contemplation and under
way for the improvement of con
ditions.
