Rem arkable photograph nuule from a navy photographic plane showing
a plane passing over the V. S. S. Arkansas nfter dropping a torpedo which
made a direct hit. The Arkansas was theoretically “sunk” as a result of the
m aneuvers off the Virginia Capes when a squadron of torpedo planes searched
out three ships of the Atlantic tleet, attacking them. The photograph shows
clearly the wake o f the torpedo.
