fore the P y th ian sessions th is year
will be th a t of perfecting a rra n g e ­
m ents for the erection of the first
P y th ian home to be b u ilt west of the
Rocky m ountains, and will be jo in t­
ly owned and operated by th e P y th ­
ian dom ains of Oregon and W ashing­
ton.

th a t postponem ent of th e fair pro­
ject beyond the 1927 date fixed F r i­
day is advisable. Mr. M eier believes
the e n te rp rise should aw ait reh ab ili­
tatio n of E urope.
Mr. Meier left P o rtla n d confident
and optim istic over the prospects for
in te re stin g th e leading co u n tries of
th e w orld in a g rea t exposition in
P o rtla n d in 1925. He confessed he
retu rn ed a th orough pessim ist as to
th a t p roject u n d er present condi­
tions. He believes th e tim e for w ait­
ing has come.
“ The w orld is sick, w ith a high
te m p e ra tu re ,” he said. “ In my opin­
ion, now is not th e tim e to set a
d efinite d a te fo r th e p a rty .”
