years ago, searchers had given up
th e ir h u n t for the body of Tom R at­
ters, lost w hile hu n tin g deer near
H olland, the skeleton of the un fo r­
tu n a te m an was located th e la tte r
part of the week. The bones were
identified as those of the m issing
man by a shoe which was still w ith
the bones. It was one of a p air th at
Jack Smock, the H olland m erchant,
had sold to the h u n te r previous to
•- •Í ■ th e trip, and Mr. Smock positively
identified the skeleton.
