ASH^ AND GRANITE COMPANY offers to the people
of the Rogue River Valley $150,000 of the common stock of the

.
proposes to purchase the land and equipment
ot the Blair granite quarry about six miles southeast of Ashland
to enlarge the plant and to expand the business to a point where
the present annual output will be increased many times over, and
a local payroll created that will mean much to the community
in the opportunity afforded for work to local people, and result
in the distribution of many thousands of dollars annually for
wages and supplies of all kinds.
This quarry has been in operation for six years. It is pro
ducing as fine a gray monumental granite as is quarried on this
continent — equal or superior to the famous granite of Barre,
Vermont. The stone is well established in Pacific Coast markets.
Demand, prices obtainable and freight rates are favorable for the
building of a very large business, for the supply of this granite
is practically unlimited. Three months careful investigation
covering all important points has satisfied twenty Ashland men
of the great opportunity awaiting development.............................
---- The company has been incorporated by nine well-known
Ashland business men of long residence in the community. They
are: E. V. Carter, Julius P. Wolf, H. H. Elhart, F. D. Wagner,
D. Perozzi, O. Winter, N. H. Harrison, Emil Peil and H. C. Galey
Information regarding all phases of the business has been
procured, classified and substantiated by ample reference to orig
inal sources. This is available to the public and will be furnished
upon application to the company.
